On Saturday the 28th of March the first DRUMSTAR party will take place at La Foule in Pigalle, Paris. DRUMSTAR will have electronic dance musicians perform live and crate digger DJs will be invited to let people discover their vision of what is electronic dance music in 2015.
For the first party, the following artists will perform:
- Carl Finlow, he is one of the founders - with Ralph Lawson - of UK label 20:20 Vision. Carl has had many releases on more than 20 labels under various aliases, including Random Factor. He will perform under his Silicone Scally alias which is a dark electro project inspired by bands like Cabaret Voltaire or LFO. He rarely performs in Paris.
- Thierry Criscione is the creator of the DRUMSTAR concept. He is the founder the Relax Beat label, a vehicle for his 8-bit obsession. He also collaborated with Stephen Hague (Pet Shop Boys, New Order) and legendary manager Malcolm McLaren. A collector of vintage drum-machines, Thierry Criscione will perform live with Max Carrabin.
- Serge Nicolas is the AD for WORK DIVISION, a design company. He is a renowned DJ and promoter of the Rendez-vous parties where he plays a well-chosen selection of Italo Disco beats, Minimal Wave and Acid House.
- Slabb is an artist from the Relax Beat label, when he’s not working on his vintage synths or samplers he’s busy crate digging.
DRUMSTAR: Saturday 28 march 2015 from 10PM at La Foule (12 rue Frochot, 75009 Paris, M° Pigalle). Free entrance before 12PM.
